Aikido-Atelier
We are an Aikido-dojo in Zurich Binz and are happy to look forward to your visit.
The aikido-dojo has been in Zurich Binz since 2001.
The Aikido-Atelier is a non-profit and non-commercial association.
The Aikido-Atelier is politically and denominationally neutral and is open to all interested persons.
Together – We pursue the same training goals together: To have fun and enjoy Aikido and the Aikido movements.
Together – We work together in training and support each other in our further development.
Together – As a social group, we also cultivate social interaction.
Our Aikido training is in the tradition of O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba , the founder of Aikido, his direct student Michio Hikitsuchi Sensei (10. Dan) and his close student Gérard Blaize Sensei (7. Dan, Aikikai Tokyo).
The Dan grades are awarded by Gérard Blaize Sensei.
No examinations are held for the awarding of graduations. There is also no examination program.
The level of personal Aikido development achieved through training is assessed.

Jakob Spälti has been an aikido teacher since 1980. “For me, Aikido is a path to a peaceful attitude, steadfastness, calmness and serenity. The method consists of trying to guide an attacking partner with a subtle force without wanting to defeat them. If you succeed, it is a great joy, like a wonderful gift.”
Igor Drieghe
5th dan (Aikikai Tokyo)
Born 1969
I started aikido in 1993. My fascination for Aikido has not waned since then, quite the opposite. The small and big discoveries, challenges and progress in training inspire me anew every day. For me, Aikido is a multi-layered training method with a positive effect on many different areas of life.
Aikido, the path with Aiki, gives us the opportunity to experience and live the principle of non-resistance (non-violence) in a very real and practical way.
Since 1994 I have been attending regular courses with Gérard Blaize Sensei.
Since 1999 I have been following Gérard Blaize Sensei’s lessons closely.
Since 2004 I have been leading trainings in the Aikido studio.
Martin Bachman
3rd dan (Aikikai Tokyo)
I found my way to Aikido through the desire to be more aware of my body. Aikido teaches me to connect body and mind.
I have been actively involved in aikido since 2001 and regularly attend courses with Gérard Blaize Sensei.
I have been teaching the basic course at the Aikido-Atelier since 2020.

I have been practicing Aikido at the Aikido-Atelier in Zurich since 2010. Above all, I take the serenity and cheerfulness from training into my professional environment every day and let it inspire me.
Elisabeth Hösli

I have been practicing Aikido since 1991 with lasting joy and fascination. Aikido awakens serenity and joy in me. It promotes my physical and mental agility, my sense of balance and my presence. Aikido is a great gift as I grow older.
